I read a post at Business Mums Blog that talked about how the running of a business as well as coping with your daily life can get you down.
As a business woman we are all supposed to be tough and invincible, aren't we? At least, that is how we think we should be. Melissa said, "When people ask how you are, you wish you could say “I’m having a really bad day, business really isn’t going as well as you think it is”, but you can’t!"
Her solution was to outsource work. Businesses like Clever Streak are there to provide you with an escape route. Clever Streak will do your blogging, twittering or writing for you for as long as you need it. We specialise in working with small and home based businesses.
If you need ongoing support across a range of areas then have a look for a Virtual Assistant.
The cost of these services is usually very reasonable and it frees your time so you can work on something specific or finally allow yourself a few hours off.
Business women aren't really tough and invincible. They are clever at utilising their time and resources to meet specific outcomes. Don't punish yourself by trying to do it all alone.

Creating Change
Anyone will tell you that making changes and creating new habits is difficult. Just ask the person who is day 2 of their new diet. Ask a personal trainer how the clients cope. Change doesn't come easily.
This video is about encouraging people to change their habits and their tool is choice is fun. They use a simple but very clever idea that works. Perhaps we could think about using 'fun' as our incentive for change. Something that is good for us is not the only incentive we need to help us maintain change, is it?

Annette Piper Jewellery
If you have been reading this blog over time you have probably seen me write about Annette Piper and her jewellery. Annette is a jewellery artist and gemmologist. Here jewellery is modern and stylish with the odd touch of retro thrown in.
Annette has just moved her blog from Blogger to Wordpress and it would be lovely if you could drop in and visit her. She is at www.annettepiper.com/blog
Just in case you need an added incentive to visit let me show you some of her work.

Please Vote for Cherry Mag

Recently our blogs went through a nomination process for the BMN Blog awards. Sadly Tall Poppy did not survive that process but our sister blog did.
We would love it if you could vote for Cherry Mag, please. Cherry Mag is a lifestyle mag for women. It has articles that you actually want to read. They give real information on health, work, life and beauty as well as much more. Ever month we feature an interview with an inspiring woman, which is a fascinating and encouraging read. The mag is also full of humour and irreverence! Check out these articles and you will see what I mean:
We have some great writers, including Suzie Cheel (Abundance Highway) Amanda Cox (Real Mums Wine Club) Carmel McCartin, (Budget Bitch) and Sarah Willcocks (Style Melbourne)
We would love to see Cherry win a BMN award as a thank you to our wonderful writers.
Please click on the image above and vote for Cherry Mag.
