Welcome to the January 21, 2008 edition of living a real life.

This edition of the carnival is all about starting again, reflecting the beginning of the new year. There are some really thoughtful and insightful articles listed here and it will take you some time to work through them all.
We had our largest number of submissions ever, this edition, so sadly not all could be included. Thank you to everyone who took the time to submit their work. This carnival will go to a fortnightly edition (on trial) so that we can include more of your valuable work but in smaller doses. If you have any feedback about the carnival please let us know.

Great Carnival. I have clicked off to read almost every article, and I added it as a favorite on so I can contribute next go-round. I'm looking forward to it.
